First, you have to buy the Power Mover Controller, which is the system's "brains." You put this in your cart and then choose the device features you want to control from below. If you have more than one, like two or more air conditioners, just choose the number you want and add it to your shopping cart. The primary load-shifting device is hot water. By utilising its design for hot water storage, its heating times are shifted to the Free Hour of Power and low-cost off-peak periods. Not to worry if you run out of hot water, your app has a BOOST button that allows you to top up your hot water heat at any time.

Similar to hot water cylinders, freezers have a high energy storage capacity due to their ability to freeze food. You can link a Smart Plug into the Power Mover controller to deactivate your freezer during peak hours and activate it during off-peak hours. In general, mobile freezers will keep your food frozen and safe during this cycle of power-moving. However, we recommend keeping an eye on your freezer for a few days to make sure everything is okay. If you find that the device is not able to maintain its cooling, we will gladly refund you upon delivery of the smartplug.

Eco Heaters are excellent for heating bedrooms and smaller rooms where the cost of an air conditioner is cost prohibitive, and they are an excellent source of load shifting in the winter.

In the winter, underfloor heating is another excellent method of shifting load. Because of the mass of the floor, it will retain heat for long periods of time, allowing the time to heat the floor to be moved around when power is free or cheaper.
